Sustainable food production in Spain and NRW - Webinar
The food processing industry in North Rhine-Westphalia is of great importance: around 1,000 companies with almost 96,000 employees and a turnover of approx. EUR 36 billion make it the food industry with the highest turnover in Germany. Both globally active large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises are represented. Characteristic of the sector in NRW, however, is the pronounced small and medium-sized company structure.
With a turnover of almost 140 billion euros, over 30,000 companies and more than 440,000 employees, Spain is the fourth largest agrifood producer in Europe and the tenth largest in the world. The Spanish agrifood industry is highly innovative and dynamic and represents almost 20% of the country's total exports. The innovation ecosystem is rapidly consolidating, showing a strong commitment from private companies and institutions to achieve an increasingly efficient, competitive and sustainable food system.
Especially in view of the overall global responsibility of the food industry to contribute to greater sustainability, we are looking forward to the exchange.
The webinar will be held in English. After your registration you will receive the link to the ZOOM meeting.
