The Start-Ups:

The Matchmaking night is open to start-ups who have received the “Seal of Excellence” (SoE) from the European Union’s flagship EIC Accelerator program. The Seal of Excellence is an exclusive certification awarded only to the most innovative, disruptive, and high-potential deep tech start-ups in Europe, who have passed through the comprehensive technical and commercial evaluation of the EIC Accelerator. The SoE certifies these start-ups as ready to take their final steps towards market entry and upscaling.

The Investors:

TechHub.K67 and Heuking will activate their network of business angels and VC investors in a curated matchmaking format, where selected startups will meet investors in small, targeted group sessions based on alignment with their industry, stage, and vision. The following networking segment offers space to deepen conversations, build new relationships, and spark potential investments. The event will uniquely involve multiple investors per each selected startups, offering an unparalleled opportunity for startups to engage with possible investors.

Get engaged in the Startup Week Düsseldorf

The matchmaking event will take place in the heart of Düsseldorf during the city’s internationally renowned annual startup-week. Selected startups will also be invited to attend Heuking’s exclusive VC Networking evening on 10^th September, and can combine their trip to Düsseldorf with the Future Tech Festival, Germany's leading B2B Startup Expo and Conference, on 11^th September. Throughout the week, many other start-up opportunities, workshops, and events are accessible to participating companies in the Startup Week Düsseldorf.

How to apply:

10 SoE startups from across Europe will be selected to participate in this event. Start-Ups interested in participating are invited to apply by 31^st July 2025,  by filling out the form at the following link. Please submit a Pitch Deck (read version) of maximum 10 slides. Your submission will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• The problem you are solving (how big and how urgent is it)
• The solution / value proposition and its customer fit
• The strength of your business model
• The competitive positioning of your company
• The strength of your core team
• Your fundraising plans / needs and investment case
