Via the matchmaking platform, participants can select potential discussion partners in advance and arrange individual 20-minute meetings. The online sessions will take place on 26, 27, 28 and 30 October. On 29 October, face-to-face meetings will also be offered as part of the European Sustainability Congress in Warsaw.

Key topics include circular products and production processes, sustainable technologies, resource-efficient business models, material cycles, the bioeconomy, sustainable energy, logistics, the construction industry and urban development.

The matchmaking event offers a great opportunity to find international partners for technological, economic or scientific collaborations. The format is particularly interesting for organisations seeking consortium partners for European research and innovation projects – for example, for projects under Horizon Europe in the field of circularity and the circular economy.

A week dedicated to the circular economy

The matchmaking event forms part of Circular Week 2026, which will be held for the first time from 26 to 31 October as a joint German-Polish initiative. Events in Aachen, Wuppertal, Duisburg, Warsaw, other Polish twin towns and online will bring together stakeholders from business, academia, public administration and civil society.

The programme includes, amongst other things, an international online conference on the circular transformation of cities, workshops on developing new solutions and project ideas, the European Sustainability Congress in Warsaw, and a repair and second-hand festival in Wuppertal. Thematic focuses include material cycles, sustainable construction, logistics and supply chains, bio-based solutions, energy, climate-resilient agriculture and regional transformation strategies.

The NRW.Europa team at ZENIT looks after participants from North Rhine-Westphalia and supports them in preparing for the international matchmaking event.
