Sustainability check – EEN service for companies in North Rhine-Westphalia

Companies that successfully combine sustainability and innovation take responsibility for a livable environment and strengthen their competitiveness at the same time. Based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and company-related management factors, the Enterprise Europe Network—and thus also the NRW. Europe team at ZENIT – SMEs from North Rhine-Westphalia a free initial consultation and support, which can be used, among other things, as an introduction to strategic sustainability management.

The sustainability check helps companies reflect on their own status quo and develop a roadmap for making their business economically, ecologically, and socially sustainable. The process begins with a multi-layered questionnaire, which is completed together with the customer on site. The focus is on the questions “Where are we now?” and “Where do we want to go?”

ZENIT experts take up to three days to not only provide an initial assessment in an online feedback meeting, but also to highlight perspectives and recommendations for action. These include both short-term pragmatic and long-term strategic approaches.

Small and medium-sized enterprises that see the regulations surrounding EU taxonomy and sustainability reports as an opportunity for their business can benefit from the sustainability check. They can also see them as strategic instruments that contribute to long-term value creation and success in an increasingly sustainability-oriented economy.
